In warm weather yard sales are commonplace here, with sellers picking up a little pin money while clearing out closets, sheds and garages. Avid bargain hunters arrive early playing with Zen-like concentration, and leave late, often outlasting the reluctant realatives and friends brought along for the "fun". They and the sellers are a part of the American life and scene that makes us as we are and recognizable to one another from ocean to ocean as part of the family we have forged from our nation.
